Flotsam and Jetsam had initially decided to launch their tour where it all began for the band, in Arizona, the promoter has apparently disappeared. The band is working on retribution! As a result of this unfortunate occurrence, the conquering of the US starts at none other than – the Whisky A Go-Go, right here in LA. (Thats where SonicMag is.) on November 5th.

This tour, for fans, is a celebration of the band’s debut release, the one that started it all, “Doomsday for the Deceiver.” It was born to the world in July ’86 and thifty years later – they’re still kicking your ass. That album was not only a landmark masterpiece, recorded by Brian Slagel, but it introduced the world to Jason Newsted, who just a few months later would transfer over to Metallica, and fill the shoes of Cliff Burton.

The band has undergone some changes in the past couple of years. They parted ways with guitarist Edward Carlson and bassist Jason Ward. They enlisted Steve Conley on guitar and Michael Spencer on the bass guitar. In 2014, drummer Kelly Smith took leave of the band for family obligations and Jason Bittner (Shadows Fall) stepped up to the throne.

Now, in 2016 with well over a million albums sold, Flotsam and Jetsam have released their official 12th studio album simply titled “Flotsam and Jetsam.” You can find the digi-pak here: (Click Here)

Warming the stage for the show the forthcoming tour dates, and by warming, we mean burning the fucking stage to the ground, will be Texas metal legends Helstar and bay area brawlers Hatchet.
