Starbreakers Make Their “Maiden” Voyage At The Viper Room – First Show Ever

On March 11th, the Viper Room on Sunset played host to the virgin performance of the new all-star line-up of The Starbreakers. With pure metal cover songs, the nationally known local gals assembled a new music experience that falls in line with the careers they’ve worked for years on the LA club circuit. Through a night of late starts, long sound-checks and technical difficulties, the band powered through and delivered an eleven song set list including classic staples like Judas Priest‘s Painkiller, Dio‘s Holy Diver, Iron Maiden‘s Number of The Beast, Danzig‘s Mother and Motorhead‘s Ace Of Spades.

Here is a look/listen to a few minutes of the show.

The Starbreakers features:

Jill Janus (Huntress) – Vocals
Courtney Cox (The Iron Maidens) – Guitar
Nita Strauss (Alice Cooper) -Guitar
Emily Ruvidich (Misty Day) – Bass
Lindsay Martin (The Aviators) – Drums

The opening act brought Australian front woman and vocal/songwriting sensation Leah Martin-Brown to the stage with her band Evol Walks, followed by direct support for the Starbreakers, the Ventura based experimental rock act Gygax. If you’re a fan of Thin Lizzy – you’ll eat up Gygax.
